About the baker, Silvia Tang
of A Touch Of Sweetness
My passion for travelling led me indirectly to baking since it was the only way to afford it. I would spend hours and hours at farmers market or food fairs in visited countries selling my cakes and cookies in order to pay for food and bed. And what started as a need for survival became a need for living.
Travelling I met my husband and we moved to Paris. In 2008 I took a pastry course in Paris but I would say that I am mostly self-taught. Three years ago, we relocate back to Kuala Lumpur and I started A Touch Of Sweetness in my humble home in Taman Desa.
Im a big fan of gluten-free and sugar-free desserts. I believed that desserts can be healthy and delicious.
