In the spirit of Merdeka Day, the Clicks for Cakes team went hunting around for homemade cakes with interesting localised flavours. These are not your everyday cakes, these are better! Here are 9 uniquely Malaysian flavoured homemade cakes for minum petang.

TofuFah’s handsome sibling, the Black Sesame Tofu Cheesecake is just as enjoyable and delicious. This cheesecake is made out of cream cheese, tofu and rich sesame paste topped with sugar and set on a crust of yummy crushed Oreos.
5 – Teh Tarik Cupcakes by Lil Red Farah
These bite-size creations are too scrumptious to eat just one. Teh Tarik flavoured cupcakes, crowned with creamy Teh Tarik buttercream and a dollop of salted caramel to enhance the flavour.
6 – Nangka Cake With Gula Melaka Cream Cheese by Sweetoothache
Nothing can be more exotic than this fruity nangka cake! The sweetness of the fresh nangka paired up nicely with the rich taste of gula Melaka cream cheese. Every bite is a delightful experience because of the bits and pieces of the nangka in it.
